PowerYield, a company specialised in the development and construction of solar energy projects in Portugal, saw in GreenYellow’s investment an opportunity to take a new step forward and reposition its brand.

Shift’s role was to define the strategy, strengthen the perception of robustness, and bring an international dimension to the brand — positioning PowerYield as a trusted technical and financial partner in the sector.

CONTEXT

The energy transition in Portugal has been gaining scale and sophistication, attracting international players and raising the level of demand in the sector. In this context, PowerYield, with a strong track record in the development and construction of solar projects, saw its integration into the GreenYellow Group as a decisive moment to accelerate its positioning. 

More than just a new investor, this step represented an opportunity to strengthen the brand’s presence on the international stage and reinforce trust among strategic partners, clients, and financial institutions.

CHALLENGE

GreenYellow’s entry as an investor created a new communication and positioning opportunity for the brand. PowerYield gained international projection, and its identity had to reflect this new dimension while ensuring independence, credibility, and proximity with its clients and financial partners. 

The essentials were clear:

  • Position PowerYield as the preferred partner for larger-scale projects;
  • Validate its know-how through the association with a major European group;
  • Maintain fundamental values such as rigour, clarity, and proximity;
  • Communicate ambition without losing the authenticity of its original identity.
  • Update the message from “Solar energy, for sustainability” to “Smart solutions that generate value,” reflecting the evolution of the market, which already understands the environmental benefits of solar energy and is now looking for solutions that can maximize return and efficiency.
