“Eucalyptus in Portugal — Science, Management and Territory” and “Eucalyptus — History, Territory and Knowledge” are two complementary publications that bring together the research, compiled information and reflections emerging from the Eucalyptus Forum, an initiative by The Navigator Company that brought together experts, researchers and key stakeholders from the forestry sector.
The first publication has a technical and scientific focus, presenting in-depth knowledge on the science, management and territorial context of eucalyptus in Portugal.
The second adopts a knowledge-dissemination approach, making this information accessible to a wider audience through clear, structured and educational language.
Shift was responsible for giving editorial form to this extensive body of knowledge, developing two distinct, clear and coherent editorial design projects, each shaped according to the nature, purpose and audience of the book. From structure to typography, from information flow to visual hierarchy, every decision was carefully considered to guide readers through complex topics and enhance the content, from cover to final page.
Together, these publications stand as a landmark contribution to technical and scientific knowledge about eucalyptus in Portugal, essential for understanding the evolution and challenges of the Portuguese forest and for supporting informed decisions grounded in science and territory.
